Girl Develop It

There is also information about an upcoming workshop in Spanish. Girl Develop It (nonprofit that created opportunities for young women to learn software development) will be holding a Spanish workshop to teach women (18 yo and older) how to build/develop their own websites on 5/5 in SF. Students can sign up here:  http://bit.ly/GDIespano. They do offer scholarships to cover the fee, and can loan laptops to students in the program (student need to ask for a loaner laptop on application). Announcing the JTHT Opportunity Scholarship 2018 (flyer)

The San Francisco Foundation Koshland Fellows will release a scholarship application for residents of the JTHT( Jackson Triangle/Harder-Tennyson Corridor) community. The goal of this scholarship fund is to uplift the JTHT community by giving residents access to job training and certification programs that result in livable wages and fulfilling careers.

Upward Bound (flyer)

There is still space for students who wish to join Upward Bound at Tennyson High School (9th, 10th and 11th grade). Students must be 1st generation, low income and must be a U.S. Citizen or resident. As of right now any student who meets the qualifications and is interested is pretty much guaranteed a spot.

E4FC Scholarship Directory for Undocumented Students

It’s college season and Educators for Fair Consideration (E4FC) have an awesome guide for undocumented students who wish to attend college but may not have the means to. The directory has a list of scholarships that do not require students to have a social security.

Free Food Distribution

Girl Develop It (una organización sin fines de lucro que crea oportunidades para las mujeres jóvenes a aprender el  desarrollo del software) llevará a cabo un taller en español para enseñar a las mujeres (18 años y mayores) cómo construir / desarrollar sus propios sitios web en 5/5 en San Francisco. Se anuncia la Beca de Oportunidad JTHT 2018! 

La Fundación San Francisco Koshland Fellows lanzará una solicitud de beca para los residentes de la JTHT (Jackson Triángulo / Harder-Corredor Tennyson) comunidad. El objetivo de este fondo de becas es elevar a la comunidad JTHT dando a los residentes el acceso a programas de capacitación y certificación que se traducen en salarios dignos y carreras gratificantes.

Upward Bound (el volante)

Todavía hay espacio para los estudiantes que deseen unirse a Upward Bound en la Escuela Tennyson. Los estudiantes deben ser de primera generación, bajos ingresos y debe ser un ciudadano estadounidense o residente. Es temporada de la universidad y Educators for  Fair Consideration (E4FC) tienen un guía impresionante para los estudiantes indocumentados que deseen asistir a la universidad. El directorio tiene una lista de becas que no requieren que los estudiantes tengan un seguro social.
